30% of the EVM’s glitch in Andhra Pradesh as polling begins

In the first phase of voting in Andhra Pradesh, as many as 30% of the EVMs were found to have glitches or were not working leading to a delay in polls. Many voters, unable to bear the heat turned away without casting their votes. CM Chandrababu Naidu is urging the Election Commission to review and resolve the EVM issues. EVM’s must be thoroughly tested before being used for polling.
