50 Lakh Hectares Degraded Land To Recover In Next 10 Years By India Government

In recent initiatives by India Government has announced to recover the degraded land of 29 percent in next 10 years. About 50 lakhs hectares of land will be converted to fertile land under campaign of India Government.
The negotiations of the degraded land will be held on globally in India on September under UN convention to combat desertification, land degradation and drought.
Highest degradation of land about 50 percent is Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Delhi, Gujarat and Goa, lowest in Assam, Mizoram, Haryana,Punjab and AP with less than 10 percent.
