AICC Spokesperson resigns from Congress due to disappointment with internal workings of the party

AICC Spokesperson, Priyanka Chaturvedi announced her resignation on Twitter with a letter addressed to Rahul Gandhi. Ms Priyanka stated that the values of dignity and women empowerment endorsed by the party were not upheld by a few members. The resignation came soon after the reinstation of some party leaders who were suspended by the UPCC for misbehaving with her. She added that she was deeply saddened by the preference given to ‘lumpen goons’ over those who work hard for the party.
