Akshay Kumar apologised to fans in a statement issued on social media after he was trolled by several sections of the internet for endorsing a tobacco brand. In the post issued on April 21, Akshay said that he has “stepped back” from further promoting the brand and “will not endorse tobacco.” Twitter, though, was impressed but most users, as is the norm often, reacted with memes.
