Illegal Sand mining is carried out on the river bed of River Krishna, located near the House of the CM of AP. The sand was dug escaping the eyes of  Chandrababu Naidu which has already stolen sand digging about 25 M of the riverbed.
The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has drawn a fine of rupees 100 crores to the Andhra Pradesh Government. Overloaded trucks with the sand that was illegally been transported apart from it the lowering of sand will cause sliding if the sands from the river banks causing destruction to the river and nature it may flood that can remove the villages residing nearby the area.
