BJP emerges as the top spender in the Lok Sabha Election 2019
Statistics on poll expenditure was released by a Center for Media Studies where it was determined that the Lok Sabha Election 2019 was the most expensive election till date. The BJP emerged as the top spender and as per mean calculations around Rs 700 was spent on each vote secured which translates to around Rs 100 cr being spent on each seat. This Election is not only the most expensive in India but it is being speculated that the expenditure on this election is the highest compared to anywhere in the world. The BJP’s expenditure alone accounted for 45% of the total expenditure during the polls.
