BJP MLA Pranav Singh Champion expelled from the party
BJP MLA Pranav Singh Champion from Khanpur Constituency in Uttarakhand has been expelled from the party after a video of him brandishing guns went viral on social media. The MLA was seen dancing to a Bollywood song while holding guns. Previously he had also used foul language and threatened a journalist. His behaviour has been condemned by the BJP. The expulsion came after several warnings. Despite belonging to the Royal Family of Gujjars, Champion has constantly displayed unacceptable and indecent behaviour. Champion shamelessly justified his behaviour by saying it was normal for one to behave in such ways while being drunk, thereby highlighting his state of intoxication. The decision to expel him from the party is a well thought move to avoid further embarrassment.
