CPIM member Brinda Karat has written a letter to Home Minister Amit Shah demanding legal action to be taken against YouTube videos that have communal content in them. Karat said in her letter that there were several videos on Youtube that were meant to instigate communities against one another and spark hatred. She said that the videos were violating the cyber laws of the country and such videos could tarnish the image of India. She appealed to Ami Shah while reminding him of his duty as the Home Minister to maintain peace and security in the country. Youtube is a very accessible medium and videos with communal content can spread rapidly and thereby it must be taken down and curbed.
