Children get roti and salt as a midday meal in Mirzapur
The midday meal scheme introduced by the government to encourage parents to send their children to school. However, in a school in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, children have been getting roti and salt as the midday meal. The midday meal is supposed to provide basic nutrition for the children but the funds have been misused and children are not receiving the nutrition they are supposed to be receiving is compromised. The Principal and Staff of the school have been suspended for their indifferent attitude towards the children.
