Congress gets its Lok Sabha leader in Adhir Chowdhury
After weeks of contemplation and internal discussions, the Congress has finally declared its West Bengal leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury as the party’s leader in the Lok Sabha. The Congress had tried hard to persuade Rahul Gandhi to take up the position but he did not budge from his original decision. Rahul Gandhi has also been expressing his desire to quit the position of President after the Congress lost the election miserably twice in a row. The position for senior leader opened when the veteran Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge failed to secure his seat in the Lok Sabha election
