The NIA court directed BJP MP Sadhvi Pragya to appear regularly in court for trial as she is convicted in the Malegaon Blast Case. The court rejected Sadhvi Pragya’s plea to exempt her from being physically present for trials quoting political work as a reason. The court has said that Sadhvi must appear in court once a week. The Supreme Court directs that cases pertaining to political personalities must be dealt with expeditiously which makes it all the more imperative for Sadhvi Pragya to be present for the trial. The NIA court also said that bail was granted to her on the condition that she would be present for trials. Sadhvi had said travelling from Bhopal to Mumbai on a weekly basis would be stressful yet the trial court has not budged on its decision.
