CP Thakur writes to PM Modi regarding deaths due to AES in Bihar
Senior BJP leader CP Thakur who had raised questions on Nitish Kumar and his government over the issue of children’s death due to Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) has written a letter to PM Modi requesting him to take necessary action. He urged PM Modi to visit Muzaffarpur and the families of the children who have succumbed to the disease. The letter also contained Thakur’s suggestions for possible solutions and a brief description of the situation in Muzaffarpur. Thakur asserted that there was a strong need to set up good biochemical labs and facilities in order to enable early diagnosis and he also said that this could be achieved in collaboration with established medical institutions such as the AIIMS.
