Delhi Services, Data Protection Bills Become Laws After President Droupadi Murmu’s Nod
The Delhi services bill, which was passed by the Parliament in the recently concluded Monsoon session, has become a law after President Droupadi Murmu gave her assent to the legislation. Amid uproar by the Opposition, the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2023, which replaces the ordinance on transfers and postings of senior officers in the Delhi government, was passed in the Rajya Sabha on Monday and in the Lok Sabha on 3 August.
