EC seeks report on Mayawati’s vote appeal to Muslims
BSP chief, Mayawati asked the Muslims to vote for the BSP, SP and RLD alliance instead of splitting their votes by choosing Congress in the Lok Sabha Elections. Asking for votes in the name of religion is a threat to democracy and is against the Moral Code of Conduct laid down by the Election Commission. BSP cannot claim to be a secular party if its campaign is dictated by religion. The CEO of UP has asked for the recording of the rally speech in Deoband to take action on the numerous complaints received by it.
