Gurudwaras receive 57 lakhs as GST refund for langar
The Punjab State received 57 lakh rupees from the Center as GST refund for the langar preparations. Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal thanked PM Modi and praised him for keeping his promise to revoke GST imposed on religious institutions. The langar kitchen run by the Sikh community in gurudwaras are an excellent example for selfless service to the human community. The Golden Temple in Amritsar runs the world’s largest community kitchen and feeds lakhs of people free of cost each day. Harsimrat Kaur said that the Sikh community was grateful for the recognition that their work has received.
