Indian Army holds a meeting in Kashmir to review security situation
Following the announcement of the dissolution of Article 370, army troops from across the country have been sent to Jammu and Kashmir in order to tighten security. Officials have said that fortunately the law and order situation has not gone out of control and things are largely peaceful in the region. However, telephone, internet and DTH connections are still not restored. Lt General Ranbir Singh held a meeting of the Intelligence and Security forces in Kashmir in order to review the situation of security. The Army has requested the people not to believe in propaganda and rumours spread by enemy forces and assured that beyond adequate measures have been taken to maintain peace and security.
