India's First Voter seeks action against BJP worker for using his name in campaign

Shyam Saran Negi, India’s first voter who is currently 102 years old from Himachal Pradesh has appealed to the Election Commission seeking action against  a BJP leader for using his name on a social media campaign. BJP leader Pushparaj used Negi’s name and added ‘Chowkidar’ to it on a social media post to appeal for votes. Negi who is not on any social media platform did not want his name or picture to be used for any political motivations. The BJP leader has submitted an apology letter to the election department for his action and also added that he will refrain from repeating it.
