ISRO Chairman K Sivan honoured with APJ Abdul Kalam Award
ISRO Chairman Dr. K Sivan was honoured with the AJP Abdul Kalam award by the Tamilnadu government for his contribution towards science and technology. The award was scheduled to be conferred on Independence Day but due to certain circumstances, Dr. K Sivan was available to receive it only yesterday. IIT Bombay tweeted its congratulations to Dr. Sivan who completed his PhD in Aerospace Engineering from there in 2006. He also addressed the public on Chandryaan 2’s exit from the earth’s orbit. The first picture of the moon taken by Chandrayaan 2 is also being circulated on social media.
