Jaitley defends Irani by taking a jibe at Rahul Gandhi’s degree
After the row about Smriti Irani’s degree and her being accused of false degrees, Union Minister Arun Jaitley asserted that Rahul Gandhi obtained an M.Phil without having a Master’s degree. He added that a public audit of Gandhi’s degrees would leave many questions hanging and it is uncertain how he obtained his MPhil in developmental studies in 1995 without having completed a post graduate degree. The controversy regarding Smriti Irani’s began when her poll affidavit said she had not completed her graduation but in 2014 she had mentioned that she has completed her BCom degree in 1994. Amidst all the uncertainty, it is certain that the voters are never revealed the truth.
