JNU to confer Nirmala Sitharaman and S Jaishankar with an award
Union Ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and Subhramanyam Jaishankar are going to be the first to receive the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Jawaharlal Nehru University. Nirmala Sitharaman did her M Phil and Jaishankar did his PhD from the School of International Studies branch of the JNU. The University Registrar said that JNU was proud of the achievements of the two union ministers and felt they would serve as an inspiration to the students and research scholars at JNU. They will be felicitated during JNU’s third convocation to be held in August 2019.
