Kanhaiya Kumar earns 8.5 lakhs in two years while being 'unemployed'

JNU Student Union’s president Kanhaiya Kumar who is contesting as a candidate from the CPI in Begusarai has mentioned that he has earned 8.5 lakhs in the last two years in his poll affidavit. He also mentions that he is ‘unemployed’ and claims that is income is result of the sale of his book ‘Bihar to Tihar’. He hails from a poor household but can Kumar be considered poor on the basis of his income which roughly amounts to 30 or 40 thousand per month?
