Karnataka MLA's get permission not to attend the Floor Test on Thursday

The Congress-JDS coalition which is undergoing immense pressure was required to face a floor test in Karnataka. The Supreme Court has said that the MLA’s who have applied for resignations need not appear in the House for the floor test. The Speaker has also been given the power to take decisions on the resignations that have been filed. The CM Kumaraswamy will be facing a trust vote in the House where he will have to prove his majority. The Congress-JDS have been strict in ordering the 15 dissenting  MLA’s to be present but the SC has said that they should not be coerced.
