Kejriwal led Delhi government refuses to implement Ayushman Bharat
Delhi Health Minister, Satyendra Jain announced that the Delhi government would not be implementing the Ayushman Bharat scheme introduced by the Modi government in Delhi. He criticised the Modi government for formulating schemes on paper but never putting them into action. Jain said that the Delhi government would provide free healthcare to all its citizens and it did not need the Center’s assistance in health policies. Several Delhi citizens are unhappy with the decision as they feel they are being restricted from availing privileges that they are entitled to as citizens of the country. Apart from this, the Delhi government had also announced that it would provide free public transportation for women as part of women’s safety. However, the correlation between the two ideas is not clear.
