Kolkata City Fatal Lightning Strikes With Pollution Increases
Thunder light is the spark that is caused due to the differences in the storm clouds or the ground temperature and the clouds. Kolkata City faces the temperature differences between ground to storm clouds due to the air pollution that is increasing day to day in the city.
This has been stated by Scientist Anirban Middey from National Environment Engineering & Research Institute. According to few scientists the increased urbanization and loss of greenery in Kolkata city led to the uncertain increase of fatal thunder lightning. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) states in the report that 1 degree rise in earth temperature will lead to 56 percent of rise in lightning,northern hemisphere.
