Make In India: Indian Army receives indigenous Dhanush Howitzers

The Indian Army had received the first 6 of the 114 long range 155mm/45-caliber towed howitzers named Dhanush. The howitzers are entirely designed and developed in India. In 1986-87, India had imported 410 FH-77B’s to build more of it and acquire the technology. The corrupt Ministry of Defence did not let this materialize and it was only in 2012 when the MoD decided to build the guns with a stronger barrel.
