Manoj Tiwari wants anti-Romeo squads to function in Delhi
BJP MP from Delhi Manoj Tiwari appreciated the anti-Romeo squad initiative introduced by the Yogi Adityanath government and said that a similar concept should be enforced in Delhi. The anti-Romeo squads functioned with the intention to keep stalkers and eve-teasers at bay. However, it got out of hand when unofficial squad officers began abusing people. The concern to improve women’s safety is appreciated but the anti-Romeo squads still require improvement and structuring before being replicated and implemented.
