Muslim man assaulted in Assam for selling beef and forcefully fed pork
A Muslim man from Assam was assaulted by a mob for selling beef in the local market. The old man said that the eatery had been running peacefully for 40 years by his family. He termed the attack as ‘well planned’ in order to instigate communal tensions. Other reports suggest that the man was selling beef in the name of mutton which becomes a case of adultery. However, there has been no authorized probe into the matter and such issues must be dealt with legally and not by faceless and violent mobs.
