Bengaluru based cab company, Ola launched an online campaign for ‘Ola Restrooms’, on the go toilets which could be booked from its app. The campaign which turned out to be a prank faced ridicule on Twitter owing to the fact that the drivers of Ola cabs themselves do not get adequate restroom breaks and are often seen defecating in the open. India faces a multitude of issues related to hygiene and sanitation. The prank is essentially an eyeopener to the pathetic situation regarding open defecation in India and draws attention towards the need for better toilet infrastructure.
