Jallianwala Bagh Massacre which happened on 13 April 1919, marked it’s centenary today. Dominic Asquith, British High Commissioner to India visited the Jallianwala Bagh Memorial to lay a wreath and said that Britain deeply regretted the incident. He did not offer a formal apology, neither did Theresa May do so. When questioned about it, Asquith requested Indians to respect his gesture. Irrespective of whether the British formally apologize or not, the intensity and in humaneness of the event cannot be undone.
