The Supreme Court rejected an urgent hearing of a plea filed against the government’s Article 370 move by the Opposition. The plea sought the immediate restoration of communication lines in Jammu and Kashmir along with a lift on the curfew. The panel of judges said that the plea would be heard but not immediately. Tehseen Poonawalla also demanded the release of politicians who have been placed under house arrest. The total communication blackout of the Kashmiris has been in place for almost a week and many are worried about their family back in Jammu and Kashmir.
