PM Modi attended the G7 Summit, met and held talks with US President Donald Trump. PM Modi made it clear that Kashmir was a bilateral issue and was to be resolved between India and Pakistan. He affirmed that he did not want to involve other countries into the matter and disturb them. Trump had previously offered to meditate twice in the Kashmir issue and PM Modi has politely declined the offer. India and Pakistan have been on a rough patch since 1947 on several issues and PM Modi felt that the Kashmir issue like other issues would be dealt with bilaterally without external influences and biases.
