Rahul Gandhi visits Amethi for the first time after his defeat
Rahul Gandhi’s Amethi defeat came as a rude shock to Congress as it was his first loss in the constituency in 15 years. Rahul Gandhi visited Amethi for the first time after his defeat and held a meeting with Congress workers. Rahul Gandhi said that though he was responsible for the Wayanad constituency, he would never forget his duty towards Amethi and would be there for the people even at 4am. Despite Gandhi’s love for Amethi the people chose BJP’s Smriti Irani over him which indicates that he was not there previously for the people. Gandhi said he felt like he was returning home and was trolled for this on Twitter where people said he did not do anything for 15 years but is playing emotional tricks now.
