SEPARATIST LEADER YASIN MALIK PLEADS GUILTY BEFORE NIA COURT IN A CASE RELATED TO TERRORISM AND SECESSIONIST ACTIVITIES IN KASHMIR
Separatist leader Yasin Malik on Tuesday pleaded guilty to all charges, including those under the stringent Unlawful Activities and Prevention Act (UAPA), before a Delhi Court in a case related to terrorism and secessionist activities in Jammu and Kashmir that convulsed the Valley in 2017. Malik reportedly did not contest charges levelled against him, which included sections 16 (terrorist act), 17 (raising funds for the terrorist act), 18 (conspiracy to commit terrorist act), and 20 (being a member of a terrorist gang and organisation) of the UAPA and section 120-B (criminal conspiracy) and 124-A (sedition) of the Indian Penal Code.
