Stamp on the palm is the permission you need to use J&K highway

Civilians are being stamped on their palms with regular ink which serves as permission to use the J & K highway. Though it is easily verifiable and non-transferable, it is still not a fool proof or even remotely lasting solution. The stamps will fade off with a simple hand wash or normal perspiration and there would be no trace of it at the next check point.
