Subramanian Swamy Calls TN CM MK Stalin “Stupid”, Schools Him That CAA Is Not For TN
Since the morning sunrise today, social media has been flooded with mockery, ridicule, and jests aimed at Dravidian parties and other groups making concerted efforts to paint the Citizenship Amendment Act as discriminatory, particularly against the Indian Muslim minority. On 12 March 2024, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin released a statement expressing the government’s stance against the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). The rules for the CAA were officially notified by the Union Home Ministry on 11 March 2024. Emphasizing that the CAA was detrimental to minorities and Sri Lankan Tamils residing in camps in the state, Stalin asserted that the government deemed the Act unnecessary and called for its rescission.
