Three synthetic milk production units in Madhya Pradesh with more than 60 people being involved were raided. The raid led to the discovery that white liquids made using paint, glucose powder and even shampoo were being packed and distributed as milk. Trucks carrying the milk along with the supplies used to manufacture the milk including refined oil were seized. The unit not only produced adulterated synthetic milk but also cottage cheese and condensed milk. The synthetic formulation poses a major threat to the health of its consumers. Several critics on Twitter have said that cow vigilantes are also affecting the dairy industry by interfering in cattle rearing.
