Tourism and Machail Yatra suspended in Jammu & Kashmir
After the Indian Army found arms on the route of the Amarnath Yatra, it has been on high alert. Along with the Amarnath Yatra, the Machail Yatra to Goddess Durga’s shrine in Kishtwar district of Jammu & Kashmir has also been stopped citing security concerns. Pilgrims have been requested to evacuate Jammu & Kashmir. Many tourists in Jammu & Kashmir are also being asked to leave the state and return safely. It is disheartening that every period of peace in the state is disrupted and the people constantly live in the fear of losing their homes and lives.
