Vistara Airlines was attacked by different groups regarding a tweet where the airlines had posted a picture of their staff with Retired General G.D Bakshi who travelled in their flight. The post appreciated the service rendered by the General in the Kargil War. The Airlines was attacked immediately for the tweet by Liberals on the grounds that Bakshi had made controversial remarks in the past regarding the India-Pakistan relationship. After the tweet was taken down, it faced criticism again for failing to respect an army officer and succumbing to pressure. Twitter is trending with #BoycottVistara. Vistara Airlines explained the deletion of the tweet saying that it did not want to be disrespectful or hurtful to anyone.
