BJP was untouchable for some time before the 2014 elections. Then it got a respectable number of member parties and won ably. Since then a slow trickle has now become a flood of previous opposition parties and politicians both elected and otherwise wanting to join both the BJP and the NDA. This has already happened in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Assam, Bihar, Gujarat, and now with AIADMK in Tamil Nadu, and former political stalwarts of UP. There are likely to more parties and people in more states. Is this principle, good governance, looking for a future – well you decide?

Nearly 15 crore mid-day meals are served in government schools all across. Each state and district organizes these differently. In the states where these are considered well run, they are generally outsourced. But in the some other states like Bihar and UP, teachers are involved in both cooking the food and serving, a big issue as teachers are distracted from the important job of teaching. Government is looking at major overhauls both in the menu – the goal is to serve at least 450 calories and 12 grams of nutritious food, and how/who prepares and serves them.

Shri Giriraj Singh, Member of Parliament (from Bihar) recently said that families of every community should be required to limit to 2 child per family. So why is that comment viewed and reported as controversial? In addition to population control leading to a healthier population, his comment should be viewed as a way to protect and preserve the social dynamics of villages, towns and districts. If the religious balance goes haywire, it could cause several problems as is being reported in some areas of West Bengal (Malda and other border districts), or Assam or Kerala.

The skewed sex-ratio or gender gap in the Gujarati Patel community, has also forced the Patidars to go searching for brides in other states such as Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, or even further away in Oriya. While most of India is thinking jobs and make in India, Bihar lives in gunda raj.

In last few days, more than nine people have been murdered, two engineers killed, and one student been kidnapped in Bihar. Shockingly the ruling party is blaming others and claim crime there is far less than in other states, and give excuses of “it’s few and small incidents” and “it happens everywhere”. are utterly shameful and makes me regret the numb minds and lost humanity of our so-called ‘leaders’. Lalu is now deflecting the blame on the government. What would these leaders say if one their own family was kidnapped or killed?

If local rumors floating in Patna are to be believed, this time around, funds are also making its way to Bihar from Saudi Arabia via Nepal through the hawala route, the same route terrorist Yasin Bhatkal and others had used to infiltrate India. Allegedly, some people feel that Bhatkal might have been very successful in connecting Wahabi Muslims in Bihar with potential donors in Saudi Arabia. If all this true, it is doubtful BJP and NDA are beneficiaries and the logical party and candidates to benefit would be JD(U),RJD and Congress?
