With Karnataka state elections around the corner, the Congress party has set sky high application fees. The cost of an application itself is Rs. 100. The application fee is Rs 1 lakh for ministers, Rs 50,000 for MLAs, MLC’s and MPs and Rs. 25,000 for former MLAs, MPs and MLCs.
For all others, the fee has been fixed at Rs. 20,000 for General Category and Rs. 15,000 for SC/ST category. The state Congress party is saying these funds would be used to extend the party’s office building.
IS THAT THE REASON OR THE PARTY IS OUT OF FUNDS AND THIS IS THE WAY TO REBUILD THE BANK ACCOUNT…?

Supreme Court has asked for the Love-Jihad issue to be fully investigated in Kerala. People – both youth and others and both educated or not are being radicalized to join Islamic terror groups in India and in the Gulf region. Several youth have been caught.
Thousands have converted to Islam – and police want to verify if voluntary or under extremist threat. Since the current LDF government came to power, nearly 200 opposition party workers or NGOs have been murdered in brought daylight with no end in sight.
Has God’s Own Country become our own Terroristan? How much worse will the situation become?

Initially it might have come across as a joke, but NO it is real. Rahul Gandhi has started reading India’s most sacred and oldest texts – the Bhagwad Gita, Upanishads. The Big Reason – while one might have thought this would help to understand India’s heritage and what binds us all – well not quite. Rahul Gandhi’s objectives are purely political – to understand his opponents as his he fighting them – RSS and the Sangh Parivar, BJP and everyone connected with them. On a related note, a large silent majority probably feels India’s leader present and future should be required to understand India’s most sacred and historical texts…

Some Farmers in Madhya Pradesh and elsewhere are upset and are agitating. They want their loans erased – their problem is too much loan, over production and low sale prices for the produce. This appears genuine. But in MP, there are reports that members of the Congress party are allegedly inciting the agitating farmers to: 1) fire bullets at the state government, and 2) burn police stations, and possibly others. Congress Party seems on a terminal decline in Indian politics, losing almost everywhere – so is resorting to violence the way to reverse trends?

Can you imagine – suddenly western countries, who have enough problems of their own, have started worrying about the collapse and growing irrelevance of our opposition parties. They were champions of the Congress for decades and were really excited about the AAP, but were almost always unfairly and highly critical of the BJP. Why – because BJP represents the dominant majority, are nationalist, want to promote development and reduce corruption. Our opposition is collapsing because – they remain highly corrupt, don’t believe in development, believe in divide and conquer and most importantly want to promote minorities at the great expense of the majority. Added to this, they present no new ideas. So old ideas, old leaders, dynastic and corrupt politics will not work with an inspirational India with growing confidence and impatience, with a youth population that exceeds 65%. So no surprise or tears for opposition parties becoming irrelevant or disappearing…

Congress and over 10 opposition parties have petitioned the Election Commission stating that EVM (Electronic Voting Machines) were either faulty or rigged to favor only one opponent (BJP of course). So they site the results of UP and Uttarakhand, but don’t cite Punjab (which Congress won) or Bengal (where TMC won and there were so many allegations of illegal voting), or in Delhi where AAP won 67 out of 70 MLA seats, or in sevaral previous elections. Regarding VVPAT machines – where the EVMs give a paper receipt and a good idea, the Congress which was in power for ten years saw no urgency to implement it. Now they say the Central government is delaying implementation.
Does all this make sense… as CITIZENS AND VOTERS YOU DECIDE!!!

Cricketer and comedian who is also a politician with little in way of accomplishments, does a Ghar Wapsi with his wife who is also a politician. He says he was born a Congressman. But per news reports, he and his wife “almost” joined AAP. Sidhu seems really critical of the Akalis, and if one were to guess is it could be personal. But he was with BJP all these years. Okay – but what was he doing all these years? And, one can only wait and wonder where he may float next?

A well known Congress leader, Shailesh Chaubey was very upset with Rahul Gandhi’s abuse and irresponsible “Khoon Ki Dalali” about the Indian Army’s surgical strikes. He feels Rahul Gandhi lacks political skills and is a disgrace to the political party (not country?), and hence should be sacked from the Congress party and should try something else – Rahul is ~45 years old. The Congress leader even circulated a video with his comments which went viral. So will Congress and Sonia Gandhi act against Rahul Gandhi?

Sonia Gandhi has cancelled the annual Iftaar party, which are more a political event than a religious event. Several reasons have been given for this, one is Rahul Gandhi is on vacation (again) in a undisclosed foreign country for an undisclosed length. Congress party says Iftaar will be marked with distribution of sweets for under-privileged children. But some insiders are saying Congress could be facing money troubles?

Congress party suffered major losses, much worse than their worst projections in the recently concluded state elections in Assam, West Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Given the intense rivalry and dislike and years, it was surprising to see certain BJP leaders repeatedly talking about the decline of Congress, what brought it about and what they need to fix, etc. etc. etc. These leaders rather than working with the party to achieve “Congress mukht Bharat” objective, these leaders are giving “bhashan” on how to fix Congress and make them better. Really – are they unhappy with Congress decline … don’t they have better things to do or say?

Five state assembly results just came out – Assam, West Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. In general, Congress did very badly recording the lowest vote share. As the elections are behind us now both Congress members and the rest of the country that might still be paying attention is wondering – where will Rahul Gandhi go for vacation next and for how long? Will he take an extended vacation due to the Congress drubbing?

Arvind Kejriwal, the allegedly abusive Chief Minister of Delhi questioned PM Modi’s educational qualifications and degrees. Recently, the PMO and the respective universities in Gujarat and Delhi have promptly released them. People feel convinced but then Kejriwal says they are fake – almost a certain way to keep the media attention on himself (even if one makes a fool of oneself) and more importantly serve as a shield to Congress to divert attention away from the massive Augusta Westland corruption issue where all fingers point to Congress. Has anyone questioned Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi’s degrees?

The Congress after its massive Lok Sabha defeat and with only 44 MPs, has appointed a total of 52 spokespersons including – 4 senior spokespersons, 17 new spokespersons and 31 media panelists and 2 media coordinators. Could this have been done in preparation of the party’s repeated blockade of the Parliament functioning – which effort has started crumbling and the party is developing a bad reputation? Could this be to put the ruling party on defensive – if so, it has not succeeded? Or could this be protect Gandhi from bad name or deflect the non-functioning of Rahul Gandhi – also nice try, but has not worked out?

Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi are other Congress leadership is enmeshed in a growing number of legal proceedings. Sonia-Rahul, the mother-son duo are out on bail in the National Herald case. Rahul Gandhi by himself is facing sedition charges in multiple courts, Digvijaya Singh the outspoken Congress leader is out on bail on a recruitment scam. Now we learn that former Union Minister P Chidambaram, allegedly tampered with evidence in the terrorist Ishrat Jehan case. One has to wonder where he did it on his own or from instructions from the top Congress leadership. Chidambaram’s son, Karti, is alleged to have amassed excessive wealth in various parts of the world during 2006-2014 Chidambaram was the Union Minister.

Congress is known to anything to stay or get into power. State elections would be held soon in Kerala and West Government. In a strange turn of events (or is it really?), while in Kerala, Congress and Left Front parties (or the communists) have been sworn enemies for decades, but now in west Bengal the two parties are looking to form an common alliance to fight Mamta Banerjee’s TMC. So obviously, Congress’ goal seems to be stay in power and not any strong values and principles?
