There are reports of some 400+ global scholars writing to JNU’s Vice Chancellor about their wanting to protect academic freedom, etc. etc. etc. But what they are really asking for is that JNU should be allowed their students to protest and abuse India and seek its destruction? Would these scholars, likely to contain a fair share of Indian-origin ones, of Harvard, Yale, Cambridge, etc. write to their own university presidents that they should be allowed to protest the destruction of their countries – what hypocrites. The letter also makes a highly questionable claim that JNU is an internationally-renowned university of academic excellence, which has produced generations of excellent researchers, scholars and other professionals. Other than their constant protests and mostly for the wrong reasons, what great piece of academic work has the university done recently?

With over 20 million people, India has the largest number of its people or migrants living outside India. India has the largest diaspora in the world, followed by Mexico and Russia. India is well ahead of Mexico. Other countries with large Diasporas included Russia, China, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Ukraine. This diaspora excludes offspring of these migrants who would then be people of Indian origin.
