100 Bridges In India Can Collapse Any Time, Very Unsafe…
The Transport Ministry of the Government of India spent over rupees 70 crores to inspect, survey and number every one of the 1.6 lakh bridges and tunnels in the country. Their conclusion was shocking ==> 100 of the bridges, some major can collapse anytime. 147 of these are in distressed conditions – so in bad condition but may not anytime. A few of these are over 100 years. Bihar has 35 of these, the greatest number. So government is working feverishly to now start fixing these and it costs lots and lots of money.
