1,00,000 Indian Could Lose Jobs In USA… Really Scary
Despite many petitions in their support, the USA government will cancel the Employment Authorization Document (EAD) work permit for H4 visa holders – these are spouses who came in as dependents. Such dependent spouses were allowed to work from 2015 after the favourable rule change. This has a big impact on Indians as more than 100,000 of our people hold these visas. Sadly, when this change takes place more than 1 lakh of Indian spouses currently and many many more in the future would lose their work permits in United States and will be reduced to being dependent on their working spouses despite good skills and qualification in the US – the the world’s biggest economy.
