Delhi Govt Asks Babu To Certify Office Cars Used For Official Purpose Only
Surprise surprise – some of Delhi government babus were using office cars to go from home to office and return and also claiming transportation allowance. This could be going on in many other government offices around the country. So now some departments of Delhi government are asking government officials to provide a written certification that they are either using the cars for official government use only – and not to go from home to office which is against the rules. The secretaries have also been asked to get a count of the total number of cars in each department.
This is a good first step – but could officials be asked to certify their car usage only for official use entirely and not just from the home to office issue?
