Due To Green Card Delay Of 25+ Years, Indian-Americans Launch Campaign…
There are over 5 lakh Indians waiting for US Green Cards and some have been waiting and waiting and waiting. Now due to country specific quotas and restrictions, the wait could run for 25+ years for both skilled immigrants and family based immigration. The long delay with skilled immigrants is the individual has to be with the same job for many years, and cannot go for a job change. Family members get stuck in limbo with no ability to travel or work for years if not decades. So now Indian Americans and organizations are lobbying to make it faster for both physicians, skilled immigrants and family members with an fair and expanded quota so the waiting periods are reasonable.
