First Women Athlete Mary Kom Nominated For Padma Vibhushan

Mary Kom the player in Indian Olympic boxer from Manipur, Northeast India has been nominated for the Padma Vibhusahan, she is the first women athlete to be selected for the award in India.
Record of six times in the World Amateur Boxing Champion and has won gold medals in all of the world championships. Mary Kom stands the only woman sports person and the other sports person to be honored was Vishwanathan Anand, chess player, Sachin Tendulkar cricket players and Edmund Hilliary 2008.
