India on the move
As we reach another Republic Day milestone, it certainly feels like India is on the move, more confident and more optimistic. Daily positives which we have taken for granted – personal safety in most places, personal freedom, democracy and fair elections, functional institutions even if slow, stability, things work or get done even slowly, plenty and variety of food and almost everything is available with plenty of choices, easy mobility and happy people for the most part, and much more.
But lately we are starting to see and experience – a cleaner India, faster development of roads and other infrastructure, at least a central government that works, the new GST, lessening poverty, more job creation and so much more. Surely, each person has their own ideas of the positives and negatives today.
