Per Gov’t sources, for the first time in history of India retail price of power was Rs. 2.35 per unit in December. This compares to some states buying power at various times for upto Rs. 10 or even Rs. 15. The best part is power prices are down due to better demand and supply management and not price controls, which has negative effects. The Govt is not working on a one-nation one-price approach.
