MIZORAM TO VIPS – DON’T VISIT THE STATE DURING X’MAS AND NEW YEAR

The state of Mizoram has suggested that all official visits by VIPs to the state between December 14 and January 8 be postponed as the government will not be able to provide them state hospitality. Christians are a majority and people would be celebrating and extended Christmas and New Years. Can we do such a thing in other states during Diwali or Kumbh Mela, or other festivals?
