NATURE FRIENDLY – MUMBAI GOA HIGHWAY TO HAVE ANIMAL FRIENDLY UNDERPASSES

The Maharashtra government will soon rebuild a 2-km four-lane section of the NH 17 to Goa right through a core forest area keeping the safety of wild animals in mind. As a first in the country – there will facilities for animals including leafy underpasses and overpasses, and ladders to cross over to the other side. The plan is to keep the animals’ natural habitat intact.
